Returns Policy

Faults

If the product that you have recently ordered is faulty it can be returned for a full refund.  Please email photos of the item in the first instance to determine if returning the item is necessary to save on potential shipping costs.

Note: Damage to the item from poor handling is not a fault of the product.

For example interchangeable knitting needles and double pointed needles (DPNs) will snap if the knitter's grip is too tight, especially very small diameter needles made from wood or bamboo. If you are a tight knitter please consider metal needles.

This can also the case with crochet hooks. Snapping the tip off a crochet hook is not a fault of the hook. We recommend metal hooks for amigurumi/toy making.

Cross-threading interchangeable needles is not a fault of the product, it is damage caused from mishandling of the products, for this reason please take care when changing your tips and cables.

There is no refund or exchange on products if you have used that product for a long time and it now has a problem that is a result from usual wear and tear.

Please email info@knitpurl.com.au for more details on how to return the item. Refunds will be returned to the account that was used to purchase the item.

If necessary you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over $100, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Change of Mind

There are no refunds or returns for changing your mind or finding the product cheaper elsewhere.

Also note that the colours of your screen device may not be exactly the same as the colour of the product as screens vary in quality and accuracy, for this reason it is beyond our control if the product is not the exact shade of colour you thought it would be and this is not a fault of the product.

Variations in colours will also occur in hand dyed yarn as these usually do not have Lot numbers; Factory dyed yarns with Lot numbers will be selected together as much as possible but still there may be orders filled with products from more than one Lot number if there is not enough inventory from one Lot number.

We use photos that are supplied by the manufacturer, these may be brighter or more intense that the actual product, especially if they are hand dyed yarns and although it may cause some disappointment this is not a fault of the product.

If the colour is wildly different to what you saw on the website (for example you've received a blue skein but the photo showed a red skein) it may be our error in uploading the correct photo and we apologise in advance. In this instance we are more than happy to arrange for the colour you wanted to be sent along with a prepaid satchel so you can return the incorrect item. A refund, credit or substitute will be arranged.

Books and Patterns

Printed material can not be returned for a credit or refund.  Printed materials may be photocopied, have photos taken of them or scanned to a hard drive.

If you have purchased a pattern that is proving too difficult please contact the designer for more information or check their Ravelry/website for errata, tips and tricks.
